Thrombocytopenia
Thrombocytopenia is a condition characterized by an abnormally low number of platelets (thrombocytes) in the blood. Platelets are crucial for blood clotting, so low levels can lead to excessive bleeding.
Common Symptoms
- Easy bruising
- Petechiae (small red spots)
- Prolonged bleeding from cuts
- Nosebleeds
- Fatigue
