Kidney Stones (Nephrolithiasis)

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form inside your kidneys. They can be incredibly painful when they pass through the urinary tract, but usually cause no permanent damage.

Common Symptoms

  • Severe pain in side and back
  • Pain radiating to lower abdomen/groin
  • Painful urination
  • Pink, red or brown urine
  • Nausea and vomiting
