Liver disease is a catch-all term for any condition that damages the liver and prevents it from functioning well. Examples include hepatitis, cirrhosis, and fatty liver disease.

Common Symptoms

  • Skin and eyes that appear yellowish (jaundice)
  • Abdominal pain and swelling
  • Swelling in the legs and ankles
  • Itchy skin
  • Dark urine color
  • Pale stool color
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Nausea or vomiting
